Moon View Therapy
Therapy for individuals, couples, and families in New York & New Jersey
Moon View Therapy was born out of the calming notion that when I look at something from the perspective of the moon, I feel better.
It's not just that our problems appear smaller from a distance, but our connection with all life and place in a greater story becomes more apparent. The idea that this is just a moment in time rises to the surface and creates a space for us to take the next step, make our next move.
Therapy is like this. It's a unique and also fairly old-fashioned way to address life's difficulties, called by many other names over the years. A way to zoom in and back out to see situations from new angles, to regain focus on what matters and proceed accordingly. It's a way to reduce uncomfortable symptoms, but more importantly, to gain peace and connection and feel more alive.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker and do this work with individuals, couples, and families in New York and New Jersey. My approach is integrative and holistic - I primarily utilize theories of attachment and somatic therapy, as well as training in Internal Family Systems and the Gottman Method.
Common goals people come to me with relate to questions and fears about love, intimacy and relationships, difficulties handling emotional and physical overwhelm or chronic pain, as well as generalized anxiety and depression. You can read more on these and other common concerns in the specializations section.
